Albufeira, in the heart of the Algarve in Portugal’s southern coast, attracts many visitors each year; with the main attraction are the beaches here. There are 23 beaches, with seven located near the city. The most popular is the Fisherman’s beach, which gets very crowded in high season. What to see

The main church is the Mother Church, built in the 18th century, with its imposing bell tower. The church has some interesting statues and a painting by local artist Samara Barros. Santa Ana Church is small but very beautiful with an intricate ceiling design and some wooden sculptures. The most popular excursions are to the water and theme parks.
